Focus of practice

I use personal construct psychology throughout my work as a Speech and Language Therapist. I currently work in an NHS commissioned service supporting autistic adults with complex mental health difficulties. Before this I worked in the NHS and then later, in independent practice, supporting adults with acquired neurological conditions.

I was introduced to PCP through reflexive and nurturing supervision sessions. I was keen to understand more about this holistic, empowering way of working and in 2018 went on to complete the PCP foundation course. Since then I continue to meet regularly with a group of speech and language therapists and a qualified PCP mentor, for specialist study days.

In 2024 I completed a two year postgraduate diploma in personal construct psychology and counselling through the University of Padua, Italy. I find the diverse and creative approach of PCP enables my clients with communication difficulties a way to express and make sense of their world.

I am currently a registered trainee psychotherapist with UKCP.
