Focus of practice

I integrate Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) throughout my work as a Speech and Language Therapist. I have worked within the NHS and subsequently in independent practice, supporting adults with acquired neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury and progressive neurological conditions. I also work within an NHS-commissioned service supporting autistic adults with co-occurring and complex mental health difficulties.

I was first introduced to PCP through clinical supervision, where I experienced a deeply reflexive way of understanding both my personal and professional roles. This sparked my interest in developing a greater understanding of PCP and its holistic, empowering and hopeful approach to therapeutic practice. I went on to complete the PCP Foundation Course, followed by the two-year postgraduate course in Personal Construct Psychology and Counselling at the University of Padua, Italy.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist and with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a counsellor and psychotherapist.
